Christmas Morning

This Christmas was a quiet one for us. It was the first year we didn't travel to one of our families houses. We missed them terribly, but it was fun to begin our own traditions. We spent Christmas Eve jamming out to Christmas music, baking and watching movies. After the kids went to bed, David and I set up a few of the presents from Santa. I was so excited from them to wake up!
Remington was sooo happy to finally be allowed to open his gifts Christmas morning.
We were eager for him to open the big Tonka truck and his reaction didn't disappoint, he squealed with delight! Olive loved the wrapping paper most.
I surprised David with a Rogue Ab-mat (CrossFit stuff) and he was in heaven. My favorite gift was a beautiful pair of gold star-fish earrings from my momma. I can't believe Christmas had come and gone already. We have already taken down our decorations and have started cleaning the house and preparing ourselves for the new year. We can't wait to see what's in store for 2014!

Mimi & Gwampa

We loved having my parents come visit us over graduation weekend. It is so hard living far away and only getting to see them a few times per year. The babies absolutely loved all the attention, especially Remington. I really felt like he bonded with them this trip. Every time he woke up from a nap he'd peek out from behind his door, waiting for Gwampa to come get him. He loved eating Mimi's candy and sitting on her lap. It was so sad to see them go but we are already looking forward to taking a trip down to Arizona in the spring to see them and the rest of the family.
^^My Dad calls this, "getting Olive's sugar"
^^leftover lipstick from Mimi's kisses
^^love this so much
^^Olive's Christmas dress..EEEEE!!!!

 Love you Mom and Dad!

family photos

A couple weeks ago we had an impromptu family photo session where our only goal was to get one good shot for Christmas cards. I hadn't showered in like 4 days, but the sun was out and the lighting was absolutely perfect, so we couldn't pass it up. I set up my camera on the tri-pod and used the self-timer. For some reason we could only find an option for a 2-second self-timer, so I sat on the bed with the babies while David ran back and forth pushing the button and jumping back to get in place. It was pretty hilarious. At one point we had Remington taking pictures of Dave and I. He was a natural haha! I'm so happy we got a few that turned out.
