Today I am especially grateful for friends who invite us over to join their Thanksgiving festivities.
It's hard not to feel homesick over the holidays when we live so far away from our families.
I am thankful for my two beautiful babies, my handsome, hardworking husband and most importantly my loving Heavenly Father who continues to shower us with blessings.
My heart (and tummy) is full tonight.
Happy Thanksgiving.

3 Months

Dear Olive,
It really has ONLY been 3 months since you have joined our little family.
I feel like you've been with us so much longer than that. (In a good way of course)
At 3 months old you weigh 22 lbs 9 oz and are wearing 12-18 month clothing.
You are so heavy that the swing is not strong enough to swing you anymore.
As soon as we take you out of it, it swings like mad but with you in it, it sounds like it's about to die!
This month you got sick for the first time and wanted to be held a lot.
We didn't mind at all except you weigh a ton, so both mine and Dad's shoulders are realllly sore.
You love sucking on your fingers and hands and you have a constant dribble of drool on your chin.
Your hair is getting thicker and starting to lighten up and your eyelashes are getting LONG.
This month you've started to reach out and grab at toys and anything held in front of you.
You also sat in the grocery cart for the first time.
You watch us eat like it's the most fascinating thing in the world.
We put you in the Jumperoo a few times a day but you only last about 10 minutes before you want to be taken out.
You haven't figured out the jumping part but you sure love to play with the toys.
Patt-a-cake is your favorite nursery song and you giggle whenever Remington comes and gibber/jabbers in your face.
You are soooo ticklish all over every part of your body.
Sleeping at night is still one of your strengths.
Except during the day you've turned into a cat napper.
AKA not sleeping for longer than 10-20 minutes at a time. What is that about?
You can roll onto your sides and sit a lot better in your bumbo.
Your belly laugh is one of my favorite sounds in the entire world.
And lastly, not matter where we are, people come up to us an comment on your chubby cheeks!
They are my favorite and I make sure to kiss them all day, everyday.

Love you big girl,

weekend plans

I took the babies to the Dr. today and they are soo sick.
Remington has croup and Olive has a nasty cold and thrush.
I hate seeing them so miserable.
The rest of the weekend will be spent in pajamas watching bubble guppy episodes on repeat and getting all the"noonies" (aka boob juice) they desire.
(oh wait, that already happens...)

We were also rudely reminded that this Sunday is daylight savings.
An extra hour of sleep yay!
It means the kids wake up an hour earlier...
and in David's case it means he gets to work the 2 am hour twice during his overnight shift.
Poor guy.

Hope your weekend plans are more fun than ours!

Oh and Olive weighed in at 22 lbs 9 oz  today.
She has literally gained 1 pound per week of life.
Seriously guys, we thought Rem was big at 4 months weighing 20lbs.
Girlfriend is breaking records.
I mean really, you can't tell from looking at her.
She hides it so well haha. ;)
