25.5 weeks

^^Thank you for the pics Remi!

We woke up to the most BEAUTIFUL weather this morning.
Low 80s, overcast and BREEZY!!!
I'd love it to be cooler, but I'll take what I can get.
We spent the morning at the park letting the babies get their wiggles out before naps.
I sat happily by, watching their sweet faces and enjoying the wind blowing through my hair.

I am twenty six weeks on Friday and the BUMP is officially popping!
I LOVE that I am starting to feel him move around more.
It's still only on the sides of my belly but it's better than nothing.
So far, it seems like he's most active at night, just before I go to bed.
David was even able to feel a kick!

Once in awhile we will check for his HR on a monitor, especially on those days when I can't tell for sure if he's moving around.
I got word last week that I passed my glucose!!
With flying colors mind you.
Thank you pancreases for doing your job.
(insert flamenco dancing lady emoji)
I've been enjoying my fair share of sweets now that I know i'm officially in the clear haha.

Next week we have another ultrasound to double check his face and heart.
The techs couldn't get a good read because of his position last time.
I can't wait to get a peek again.

other than that, there's nothing new to report-
PRAYING this "cooler" weather is here to stay.

sunday afternoon portraits

David Allen// age 28
Jessica Erin // age 26
Remington David // age 4
Olive Lou // age 3
Frances Pearl // age 16 months

I love taking photographs of my family because photos are like the pause button of life.
I want to look back and remember those sweet faces exactly how they are right now.
The happy, the tired, the grumpy and the sad.
I want to remember it all.

engineer prints

OK so i've seen these prints floating around on Pinterest and I instantly fell in love!
I wasn't super fond of the font so I decided to design my own.

I picked up the frames from IKEA and ordered the prints through Staples!
I printed mine in the 24x36 size and that fit the frames perfectly without the mat.
I loved that I could upload the file online and pick it up in the store just a few hours later.
You can't beat the price for these size prints either!
I have lots of ideas brewing for future projects.

I'm selling this specific custom print for just $5, so shoot me a message if you want one.
Want it in a different font/style? No problem. I can design it however you want.
Have something else in mind? I'd love to work with you to help you create something perfect for your space.

twenty four weeks

We've reached the viable age!
If baby boy decided to come now, he would have a high change of survival.
At 24 weeks pregnant I'm up only +4lbs.
Writing that makes me LOL because before, I would always eye roll hearing about other moms gaining little to no extra weight.
Overall, I'm the heaviest out of all my pregnancies.
So I don't really need those "extra maternal fat store" lbs that you're supposed to gain because I already have plenty.

I'm feeling pretty good physically at the moment.
I'm trying to get in at least 3 solid workouts during the week.
It's sooo hard in the heat so I've had to get creative.
The evenings will start cooling down enough, that I should be able to get out and throw the barbells around more consistently.
I haven't felt any other sorts of pregnancy aches and pains yet (knock on wood.)
I did finally pull out my giant body pillow, though most nights I still find sleeping on my stomach the most comfortable.

Baby boy's kicks are still sooooo subtle.
I have to really be paying attention and even then it's so light I second guess myself.
I honestly feel like I could be one of the women who didn't know she was pregnant (if we were just going off movement alone)

Next week I have to take an early glucose test because of said weight.
I've managed to push it off a few months because other than weighing a little more, I'm super healthy.
My office requires patients to come in, drink it and then hang out for an hour in the office before testing.
They won't let us take the glucola home.
I complained to my Dr, because there was NO way I was hanging out that long with all three babies in the office.
So I got special permission to take one home.

Fast forward a few weeks later, I grabbed my drink off my dresser to refrigerate it before my appointment and I noticed the seal had been broken.
Upon further investigation I found that HALF of the drink was GONE.
Turns out, Rem had gotten curious about the little tiny "soda" chilling on my dresser and wanted to taste it.

I was SO upset.
Probably overreacted (hormones ya know)
But after jumping through hoops to bring the damn drink home, I couldn't help but be mad.
So now, come Monday, I get to drag along all the babies and go drink the dumb drink in the office.

I better pass the test.

Moving on-
Currently eating pretty much everything.
Really loving smoked deli turkey and bacon and eggs.
If I want something sweet it HAS to be some kind of baked good or a snickers bar.
Nothing else satisfies.

I picked out a jammy set and a new robe!
It's kind of turned into a tradition to get a new one for every baby.
It's nice to look forward to wearing something new and that makes you feel pulled together in the hospital.
I met with our birth photographer a few weeks back and we scheduled a date for our family/maternity photo session.
I'm SO excited and have been having fun putting together our outfits.
These family/maternity, birth and newborn photos are my Christmas gift and I couldn't be happier!
I'm excited to have some professional portraits done and NOT have to rely on the tripod-self timer setup this year.

Here's to hoping the next 16 weeks fly by!!!

Nothing really new to report over here.
It's still too hot.
We are still stuck at home without a car.
Still mostly miserable.
Ya know, the usual.

David's been working really long hours and has been swamped with school work so it was really nice to spend the entire long weekend with him.
The babies especially soaked up the daddy time.
On Monday we spent the day in the east valley and made a stop at Ikea.
Olive threw the worst tantrum to date in the middle of the bustling cafeteria area.
It was so awful.
She thrashed around on the floor like she was possessed.
Screaming at the top of her lungs.
All because she wanted another piece of cake.

Three year olds are the worst.

But also the best.
Just really depends on the day.

It took us the rest of the day to recover from that one though.

I'll be 24 weeks this Friday which is cray.
I've been trying to keep busy doing little projects here and there to keep my mind off the crappy things I can't change.
I whipped out a few swaddle blankets, repaired a bunch of cloth diaper elastic and even designed a little monogram print to go over baby boy's crib.

I spend my nights looking at housing at all the different places we've applied to.
We've gotten dozens of rejections letters which is tough.
David's so much more easy going about it than I am, haha.

"onto the next one" is pretty much our daily motto.
We know the right thing will coming along eventually.
Heavenly Father is just realllllly giving me lots of opportunity to practice patience.

The babies are all doing ok.
Rem is soaring through his preschool lessons and is so anxious to learn how to read and write "for reals."
He occasionally comes up and hugs my belly and tells me how excited he is for his baby brother.
Olive is super funny (when she's not mad at something or someone) and she's really into playing make believe.
Frances is just starting to say a few "words" here and there.
She is OBSESSED with puppies right now and squeals and barks and squeals some more every time we come across on either in real life, on a show or in a book.

Looking forward to a girls weekend getaway in October!
Our last roommate of summer '09 girls is getting hitched in SLC and a few of us are meeting up sans babies to party it up.

I am SO excited.
Sometimes, it's the only thing getting me through these days.
Utah in October will be a much welcome break.
(even if just for a few days!)

The countdown has started already.
