halloween costumes

Happy Halloween from the Olsen Offspring!
The donut princess! My mom scored on these donut costumes this year!!
Our Army Man! His costume was sent to us a few years ago from my Dad who works on the Army base in South Korea. Rem finally grew into it!!! He loves it.
Yes we know man buns aren't regulation, haha!
Beautiful boy!
Francie the donut girl! She actually doesn't like her costume at all...
She hates her hat even more.
but it's SO CUTE!!!!!!

Last weekend Kate, Carlie and I ditched our families and flew to Salt Lake City to celebrate the marriage of our old BYU-I room mate, Miriam! Since the wedding fell on a Friday, we decided months in advance that we needed to plan an entire girls weekend around it. We pinched our pennies and all went in on a hotel room in downtown SLC at the Radisson.
I flew in early Thursday morning and the girls picked up me with a caffeine free diet coke and a swig cookie in hand! Literally the best way to kick off the trip.
I had a super embarrassing mid-flight panic attack (I won't go into much detail because it traumatic and super ROUGH...I ended up having my Dr. call in some sedatives for my flight home ahhh)
We hung out at Kate's parents home in Orem, got our nails done, stopped at Target to pick up some items to make a HoneyMoon grab bag for Miriam and had dinner at Costa Vida!
Friday morning we got up early to get ready for the sealing. We made a stop by swig once again on the way up to the temple, haha! We got in a little early, so we had a few minutes to walk the grounds and hang out in the Joseph Smith Memorial building.
After the beautiful sealing we basked in the glorious crisp fall weather and took a million photos of each other while we waited for the bride and groom to come out. Priorities ya know?
^^30 weeks!!! I'm obsessed with this wiggle dress from ASOS. Literally a new staple in my closet. It's super stretchy and I had tons of room to move around even with a giant bump. It'll be awesome for post baby squishy body too.
After photos we checked into our hotel room, changed into comfy clothes and then hiked over to City Creek for lunch. We settled on Cheese Cake factory where I spent way to much money on a salad that I could only eat a few bites of (worst thing about third trimester when your eyes are bigger than your stomach.) The weather was so beautiful, we dinned outside on the patio. Everyone was pooped at that point we got our over priced cheesecake slices to go.
I crashed hard for the rest of the afternoon.
I was so tired!
That evening we got back in our wedding ware and headed to the reception.
After the reception we gabbed and laughed and fell asleep way too early.

Saturday morning we were all wide eyed and bushy tailed by 6:30am.
We were cracking up at how different our schedules had become compared to our early college days.
Mom life right?
We were laughing even harder when we opened our curtains and it was still pitch dark outside. HAHA!
We lounged in our room all morning and snacked on Costco muffins and Chex mix for breakfast.
It wasn't until Noon-ish that we got ready to head back over to city creek.
We stopped by Chick-Fil-A for lunch then spent the rest of the afternoon shopping!!!
We took way to  many dressing room selfies at Free People because we could not get over how pretty the rooms were.
^^gorgeous right??

After shopping to our hearts content, we stopped by the entrance of City Creek for some more photos ops because, DUH.

Later that night we grabbed PF Changs to go and ate dinner in our hotel room.
By 9pm we were all ready for bed.
Once again, loling at how lame we were.

All in all, it was the PERFECT weekend, early bedtimes and all.
It was exactly the little getaway/reconnection time I needed.
We are already planning our next one!

29 weeks and what we've been up to lately...

I'm twenty-nine weeks and feeling exhausted!
I still have energy bursts come here and there, but this week i've felt especially sleepy.
I'm still in shock that I haven't experienced ANY aches and pains.
I was well into the sore joints and lighting crotch stage at this point with the others.
I mean, I'm not complaining...i'm just really surprised.
Living in these mother hood maternity leggings!
They are my favorite.
One random symptom I've just finally gotten under control is daily massive nose bleeds.
They'd start out of nowhere and continue forever.
so. much. blood.
It was a combination of my preggo sensitive nose capillaries, the nasty super dry Arizona air and my habitual nose picking.
Finally got myself a humidifier for our room and they've come to a halt! (thank goodness)
I've been starting to crave ICE!
Pebbled ice to be exact.
David grabs me a giant 44oz cup of ice with a splash of caffeine free diet coke and I am good to go!
(can you believe i've been caffeine free for almost eight months?! neither can I. haha)
Now that i'm in the third trimester, my appointments have switched to every two weeks.
I don't remember going that often with the other kids-maybe I did, who knows.
For some reason is seems so excessive, since i'm as healthy as can be.
This pregnancy has been pretty easy besides those first couple sick months.

I'm getting a tiny bit anxious about delivery to be honest.
Mostly about getting family here to watch the kids in time so we can avoid an accidental home/car birth.

I literally had a nightmare about driving in the middle of the night with all the babies in their carseats, me laboring on hands and knees in the back and delivering baby boy right there in the van.
It totally stressed me out.
Fran's delivery was just SO fast that we've got to have some sort plan in place.

Looking forward to my GIRLS TRIP with NO BABIES weekend getaway NEXT WEEK!
and then maternity photos when I get back.
So other than the baby stuff, we really have been up to much.
We attended my papa's 85th birthday this last weekend and everyone was like "what's up? what's new?"
and i'm like "literally nothing."

David is still applying for dozens of jobs every week.
NOTHING has turned up so far.
Praying for patience, because we KNOW the right one will come around eventually.
He found out this week that he might have to retake his current class because his group tanked their park of a group project.
His was perfectly scored mind you.
I just can't even.
WHY do group projects exist in MASTERS level classes!?
So- if that happens to be the case, that sets back graduation till APRIL.
aka we are stuck here longer.
I can't think too much about it or I get really upset.
(he's petitioning the grade with his teacher, so we will know sooner or later)
^^From a date night a few weeks ago
Remington is about half way through leaning his lower case letters.
He LOVES learning and practices writing on his own almost everyday.
It's really funny to hear him teach Olive.
He is SO patient with her when she asks a million questions.
He just really is the best big brother and he is SO freaking excited for baby W to come!
^^Their favorite blocks!
^^in the bounce house

Olive is smack dab in the threenager stage.
So. many. TEARS. TANTRUMS. THREATS (from her to us hahaha)
One of my favorites from her is,
She yells a lot and hates when things don't go her way.
But we do get glimpses here and there of our sweet little Juicy and it ALMOST makes up for the hard stuff.
She is going to be a donut princess for halloween and she can not contain her excitement.
Franny pants is really starting to "talk"!
It's SO cute to hear her try and sound out words.
She just turned 17 months but she still feels sooo much like a baby to me.
It's still weird that there's going to be another soon.
She LOVE her babies and always is dragging one around the house with her.
A few days ago we were sitting down to dinner.
Everyone was starving and started to eat right away.
When I looked over at Fran, she was sitting there with her arms folded, waiting for us to say the prayer!
It was adorable and slightly embarrassing that our baby was reminding us to bless the food.
whoops, haha!
So grateful for these little spirits of mine!

halloween decorations!

Happy October!
The babies were SO excited to pull out our halloween decorations this year.
They really wanted to be involved in the placement of where everything went (especially Remington.)
We kept it pretty simple this year but I think it's the perfect amount of festiveness!
^^One of the first halloween decorations we bought after we were married!
^^ We've been hitting up the library weekly to pick out our favorite fall/halloween books and movies.

^^My friend Katie from Momma Kate Loveland sent us these pumpkins and the kids had a blast coloring and painting them!
^^Remington thinks the ultra sound photos are creepy haha! They fit right in with the decor.
^^Halloween movies for the week! They LOVED the Charlie Brown one.
